23 G&T geographers spend day making their own news. BBC Essex's Richard Martin was at hand helping students and reporting with live interviews on the radio during the day. Deborah Stephenson, BBC School Report mentor, also from BBC Essex advised students how to keep news concise and appropriate for the audience. The day went really well and we have coverage in the local and regional newspapers. Students are already asking if they can join for next year.
‘I am very proud of you young reporters!! It was worth sleepless nights just to see them all grasping news making process so effortlessly in a calm way. All the visitors including parents, school governor, BBC Essex team and off course many teachers were extremely impressed the way you used technology creatively.
